Derrick A. Wilson founded Wilson Technologies, Inc. in 1997 and built a viable commercial Information Technology Support firm. After September 11, 2001, the landscape of America's businesses changed forever and Mr. Wilson saw a need to diversify the company in order to stay ahead of the pack. In 2002, he created a federal government division and started acquiring the tools for success in the public sector. In 2004, Mr. Wilson launched a facilities support services division and acquired several contracts with the Department of the Army, the Department of Labor and Department of Commerce. In 2008 he launched a professional administrative services division. This division found early success and has current contracts with clients such as the Department of Labor, U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, U.S. Census Bureau and the U.S. Postal Service/OIG's Office.

Today, Mr. Wilson is heavily focused on providing clients with the type of client service and support he was taught over 20 year ago. He is fully dedicated to providing an environment where his staff can grow and learn with the company. Having been trained to be a constant and complex problem solver and thinker in the Information Technology field, Mr. Wilson believes there is a solution for every situation and loves a challenge. He truly believes in the company's moto; "It's Possible".

Before founding the company, Mr. Wilson provided IT and Project Management support for a number of government programs to include the Naval Sea Systems Command, Naval Air Systems Command, US Marine Corps, Air Force Base Closure Agency and the FAA Flights Standards Modernization Program.

Mr. Wilson holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Technologies with concentrations in Electronics & Computer Technology and Business Management from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
